Questions/answers

Moisture protection coatings on top of  Wood-Bliss1
Use outdoors and on wood which should be treated with an additional
coating:

1st coat: Wood-Bliss1, dilution 1:3 with water, drying time 12-24 hours
Wait for the coat to dry
2nd coat: Wood-Bliss1, dilution 1:3 with water, drying time 12-24 hours
Wait for the coat to dry
3. Hang a tarpaulin over the treated wood or coat with raw linseed oil,
to prevent the coatings from being washed away by rain outdoors.
Wait during the crystallisation period of 4-6 weeks, as during this time
the alkaline pH-value of approx. 11 on the wood is neutralised. This leads to
better compatibility with the final coat.
After 4-6 weeks, one of the moisture protection coatings listed below can be applied as the final      coat
. If a different coating should be used, please
test it on a suitable area first:

Wood Bliss1 is compatible with the following moisture protection coats:

1. linseed oil, stand oil, linseed oil varnish
2. linseed oil and linseed oil paints (solvent free) by the company leinölpro
3. Leinos coatings: wood varnish, plant varnish, natural oil, weather protection paint
4. Osmo Park Lane
5. Südwest Aqua Vision Holzfarbe
6. Wakobra Silin(industrial paint, oil resin glaze by the wood expert Mr.
Hoß, HolzArt, WB1 tested, covering glaze)
7. Linseed oil paste (linseed oil mixed with lime to repair holes)

When should I use HM1, and when should I use Wood-Bliss1?
In order to view a better differentiation of the application possibilities for the use of HM1 and Wood-Bliss1, we have developed the following user profile (PDF) for you:
User profile - HM1 and Wood-Bliss1 (WB1)
Application profil.pdf
Due to their properties, HM1 and Wood-Bliss1 (WB1) are ideally suited for use in the following areas:
• Food sector
• In areas occupied by sick persons
• In areas occupied by allergy sufferers
• In areas occupied by children
• In areas occupied by animals (e.g. bees)
Special areas:
Special areas of HM1 and WB1: Conservation of all types of wood (especially in problematic cases, e.g. in the tropics; e.g. in the field of archaeology, e.g. preservation of wood from bog, seawater, which would decompose under normal conditions and whose wood character should remain original - also in the microscopic range - under normal environmental conditions for research and/or exhibition purposes): HM1 and/or in combination with WB1

What should be done in the event of moisture and mould growth?
  • Our products STONE-BLISS and MASAN can be used in combination to combat moisture in masonry, or to treat mould infestation.
  •  STONE-BLISS is a pollutant-free, solvent-free, and chlorine-free product for masonry restoration.
  •  STONE-BLISS reacts with concrete and mineral masonry, leading to a constriction of the pores. This means that further water penetration is finally stopped, while diffusion compensation is maintained.
  •  STONE-BLISS has pronounced fungicidal properties. It carried the official test label EN113.
  •  STONE-BLISS reinforces the material.
  • Treatment with STONE-BLISS:
  • If the moisture content is very high, the product should be used in its concentrated form, otherwise it can be applied in a dilution of 1:1. Additional procedure for reinforcement and the moisture barrier inside the material:
  • 1. Drill holes at a distance of approx. 20 cm, whereby the holes are drilled at an angle of approx. 45° if the product is intended to be introduced with standard domestic funnels. When the filled-up funnels no longer empty themselves, the saturation level has been reached.
  • 2. If the product is intended to be introduced through drilled holes at a distance of approx. 20 cm, the required quantity can be injected with a syringe or grease gun under pressure.
  • A rapid penetration of STONE-BLISS indicates that the wall is already porous and actually needs to be torn down. This situation can often be prevented, as STONE-BLISS has a reinforcing effect, making it possible to preserve the damaged wall.
Basically, the cause of the moisture should be eliminated, otherwise the problem will return, and you will need to combat it again and again!

What should be done in cases of dry rot infestation?
We recommend the combined use of our products MASAN and STONE-BLISS to combat dry rot, as well as other measures, such as removing fruiting bodies, strands and infested, destroyed material. MASAN anti-mould paint is a special non-toxic, solvent-free, anti-allergic paint for use on interior walls. MASAN is free of fungicides and works against existing mould spores. It inhibits new mould fungus formation. Due to the special principle of crystallisation, mould, bacteria and viruses are physically destroyed and volatile substances are bound as soon as they come into contact with the paint. This ensures permanent purification of indoor air.

Application: STONE-BLISS is applied to the exposed infested wall in a dilution of 1:1. In the event of deeper areas of infestation, STONE-BLISS concentrate is also injected. The new plaster is applied to the treated masonry and then painted over with MASAN anti-mould paint. This means that moisture and mould are combated, further infestation is prevented, and MASAN can develop its properties which promote quality of life.

Of course, major structural damage must be repaired at the same time!
